I should have checked - groveling in Bowmanville.   Did you UK relatives emigrate to Toronto?  On April 19, 2008, the Toronto Star had a full page article on a project started by the Jewish Genealogical Society of Toronto.  The plan is to take digital photographs of “every grave in every cemetery”.  According to the article, there are 11, with the earliest dating from 1849.  Basic details will eventually make their way to www.jewishgen.org, with hard copies stored at the Ontario Jewish Archives in Toronto.  See http://www.ontariojewisharchives.org/ for more details.   Still trying to clean up the office even though it is a lovely day in Bowmanville.   Regards, Susan McPhedran
