Dear Eve, Coming third around the curve, I concur with Kathy. I always edit using the text box in what is called the Formula Bar. This is one of the two or three menu bars at the top of your screen. I hope you do get used to using it because it can be a powerful tool for organizing and sorting your data. As I have written before, I use it to organize and index the 500 plus Jewish Chronicle announcements in my various families. I also use Excel to catalog all my BMD certificates, one spreadsheet for each event.
