You press the F2 key at the top of your keyboard to edit a cell... They probably don't tell you that anywhere! It's a leftover from Lotus 123, the great spreadsheet "stolen" by Microsoft in their heinous affliction of Lotus, WordPerfect, and Netscape. Hi all you good folk you have or are replying to my plea for sanity. You must all be psychodelic (or something) because just as your replies were flying in I had a brainwave and tried the first two F keys (why are they all F's anyway ?) and got it ! Hurrah ! I'm sure I wouldn't have figured it out without your input. Much happier now and ready for my tea break. Thanks. Eve
