Hi, Was anyone evacuated from London to Kings Lynn at the beginning of WW2? My sister and I (Shirley (b.1933) and Mavis (b.1935) Morris were evacuated to Clenchwarton, Kings Lynn. Shirley went with her school, Sigdon Road, Hackney, and I was sent later when old enough. We went to Clenchwarton Primary School and remember a very kind teacher from London, Miss Goldstein, who looked after us. We have a photo taken at a school(?) picnic if anyone would like me to email it. Would love to hear memories of Kings Lynn.
