Hello BJs, >From their 1903 marriage cert we have now discovered the fathers of Hyman Berkovitch and Rachel Leibowitch. They were respectively Barnett Berkowitz - deceased in 1903 but believed to have remained in Romania (Iase area) and Joseph Leibowitch a cobbler in or near Whitechapel. Questions arising are: What would have been the Hebrew first name for Barnett Berkowitz ? ... need to try and trace him in Romania. Can anyone spot in the 1901 Joseph Leibowitch, a cobbler of east end London, probably born Romania around 1860s with daughters Rachel, Annie and son Meyer ?
