Good morning. I have made a few changes to a couple of the webpages on our website http://www.british-jewry.org.uk You will notice on the home page, that due to a further donation our hosting is now covered until June 2012. Thanks! I have also updated the surname list. There remains a problem with getting the latest version on the pages themselves (anyone who understands php and csv and how the two work together please let me know as I could use some help). However, the xls is the absolutely latest version and following feedback from list members the surnames on this are now all on one sheet, instead of being split over 6 pages. http://www.british-jewry.org.uk/surnames1.html To reiterate how to contact fellow researchers. You send an email to THIS list ([email protected]) FROM your subscribed address in PLAIN text. The subject line needs to say FAO (which means For the Attention Of) and the person's name (so if you wanted me you would say "FAO Sherry Landa") and the surname you want to contact them about (so for me it might read "FAO Sherry Landa re: LANDA surname"). Then in the message you put something along the lines of having seen they are researching that name and either to contact you off-list or giving a bit of information about the actual branch you are researching to see if they are the same as the person who submitted that name to the page. I hope this explains what I mean as there are a few people who seem to be struggling with what I am trying to say. Thanks Sherry Landa (Oxford, UK)
