Dear Listers, In response to a question, yes, this is the same family as my first request. I have made progress: the father of the baby did tell his daughter the name of the girl who had his baby when he was sixteen. And he thought the baby may have been born in Canton Hospital in Cardiff. Plus I have found another relative for the same paternal family who has posted a family tree on line; I have written to that poster, asking if the poster had knowledge of the birth in 1966 and would be willing to share that information. (I did get permission from the half-sister to try to contact that poster.) All this, with hopes of obtaining an exact DOB! Then comes the **hard part: hoping that the adopted girl knows that she is adopted and that she has registered as being interested in finding out more about her birth family.
