Hi Listers Before I decide this family was on a visit to Palestine or Poland, or somewhere else I'd like to ask for fresh eyes to take a look in the 1901 census. In 1891 they were at 95 Newgate St, Newcastle on Tyne. In 1906 they sailed from London for Fremantle, Australia - I cannot find them in the 1901 census. Father: Lazarus Israel ADELSTONE (and all other spellings) - born Poland 1861 Mother: Flora (nee Marks) b. London 1857 Children: Joshua b.1883; George F. b.1885; Gertrude b.1887; Israel b.1889; Ganesta (Nessie) b.1891; Myer b.1895 - all born in Newcastle on Tyne I'd be really grateful if anyone can see something I missed. I have tried soundex, wildcards, and a couple of different sites to no avail. They may of course have not been in the UK. Many thanks Robyn Sydney, AUS
Hi Robyn Newcastle is closer to Scotland than London - have you tried the Scottish Census? Just a thought. Cherry in Surrey On 7 Aug 2010, at 09:07, Robyn Dryen wrote: > They may of course have not been in the UK. > > Many thanks > > Robyn > Sydney, AUS >
