Hi Jill, In reply to your post to Ann, re; your g-gaunt Katie SYMONDS (aka SYMONDS JACOBS) In my tree I have the wife of my grandfather Louis (Yehuda AryƩ Lieb) FRIEDMAN/FREEDMAN/FREEMAN Louis' 1st wife was Rachel nee SIMON, according to MC & MA. Her father was Isaac SIMON a tailor from RUSSIA. However, Rachel has also been shown on her six children's BC's as Rachel nee JACOB, Rachel nee SIMON, Rachel nee COHEN .... & Rachel nee ROSENBERG! The two witnesses to their marriage in 1890 in LEEDS, were Morris ROSENBERG, from CHOTEL, KOVNO, who they also lived with at; 37, Back Byron St, Leeds on the 1891 census & Morris COHEN who was from GERMANY & who lived at; 52, Copenhagen St, Leeds. My grandfather's 2nd wife (my grandmother) was Rebecca nee COHEN & formerly COHEN. Because of the various names Rachel nee SIMON has used, I suspect there is a connection to the two wedding witnesses, to either or both, of my grandfather's 1st & 2nd wives. But, I've not found any other family for my grandfather or his wives, other than the family that he created. If you would like more info please contact me. Monica McMullin Liverpool UK
