Please note: I am posting this message on all of the British Jewry, the UK SIG and the LitvakSIG lists - because I'm not quite certain which is the most appropriate - and, maybe, all groups might have specific info &/or ideas for me. With help from a member of FamilyTreeForum, I have an image of part of the 5 Feb 1872 immigrant passenger list of the "Hampshire", in which Mendel FRIEDMAN appears as Mendel TREADMAN, having sailed from Gravesend to Melbourne. His place of birth (on his naturalisation docs) is Pikellin in Lithuania. LitvakSIG has located Pikellin for me, but I was wondering what traces there could be of his journey from Lithuania to Gravesend, and where I might look for them. Thanks Mary SW Herts, UK
