Dear All In 1911, Joseph SCHLOM (aged 43 from Riga) and his wife (Mrs Schlom aged 42 from Groding) were living at 9 Sutherland Avenue, Paddington with their children Solomon/Solly aged 19, Edith aged 17 and Fanny aged 13 along with two relatives Mike SAGORSKY and Fanny SEBY/LEVY. I have info on Mike going forwards. No 9 was a shop and dwelling house. Joseph was a Tailor, and in 1914 shops 29 and 30 were registered with the Land Registry in his name. I think Ive found the childrens births Solomon SLOME, Dec, 1892, Edith SLOM, Mar 1895 and Fanny SLOM, Sept 1898, all born in Kensington and a poss marriage for Joseph to Rebecca nee LEVI at the East London Synagogue, 22nd November, 1891. Solly SCHLOM may have lived at 153 Wymering Mansions, Maida Vale, in 1934 as per info regarding a Morris SCHLOM in the London Gazette. Is anyone researching the SCHLOMs. Some went to South Africa. Im trying to deduce if Joseph was a brother or cousin of Hyman SCHLOM (Hillel son of Menassah/Marcus) who was living with his wife and children at 131 Rothschild Buildings, East End, in 1911 and perhaps Morris SCHLOM who was living with his wife and children in Folkestone, 1911.
