Dear Listers, I wrote some months ago about my ROSENBERG ancestors and have made some progress but have many questions still. If anyone has any of these people in their trees I would love to hear more. Grandfather Nathan ROSENBERG b. 1907, d. 1977 His father Nathan ROSENBERG b. Recize, Minsk 1885, d. 1906. Cast off by his father for marrying Annie BENJAMIN without approval. His father David ROSENBERG, dealer in India rubber, b. 15 Feb 1859 Recize, Minsk, d 1932 London. Arrived in England with wife Rachael c. 1886. Naturalised 15 Jan 1894. Held a religious post of some kind. Lived in Mile End, London. Children: Leah b. 1881 Barnett b. 1883 Retan / Nathan b. 1885, d. 1906 from anthrax caught working as an unholsterer after being cast out of the family firm, before my grandfather was born. Sisch / Lizzie / Elizabeth b. 1887 Esther b. 1890 Annie b. 1893 Florence b. 1895 Sarah / Elezadora b. 1898 Minnie b. 1900 Queenie Victoria b. 1902 Bessie b. 1904. If you have information about any of these I would love to know. In the 1930's Rachael was living in Allison Rd in N London with Florence + husband Bert, and someone called Millie.
