Does anyone claim these early Leeds MARKSONs? In 1871 Census, there was Bernard MARKSON, 40, and wife, Sarah, 30. Only one child: Sapsey, 9. B. and S. were b. in Poland. They claimed Sapsey was b. in Leeds, but no record of his birth registered in Yorkshire BMD. Several questions: Were they from Mariampol? What were their original given and surnames?
