Further to my previous: Albert BARNETT youngest s/o late Mr & Mrs Barnet BARNETT announced his engagement to Florence Eveline STRIEM on 4 Feb 1903 in The JC and then in the next edition the marriage was announced on the same day! Anyway he was of Liverpool, she was of 6 Hesketh St Southport, late of Liverpool. She was the elder d/o Barnard and Rose LEVY Marriage was registered Mar qtr 1903 Ormskirk 8b 1043 Lancs BMD gives it as being either at the RO or register attended. It also gives the bride both STRIEM and LEVY as surnames-usually this would indicate a marriage (i.e. she was LEVY, married STRIEM and then remarried BARNETT). I looked back and Florence E LEVY married Berthold STRIEM at Hope Place Synagogue, Liverpool, in 1891. Berthold's death is registered in the last qtr of 1897 Romford. He was 37. Death actually occured on 14 Dec. HTH, Sherry (still in Oxford, UK) > In 1911 census:
