    3. There certainly was a shul of that name in the late 1800s. It has moved since a number of time and is now called the Holy Law in Prestwich. In talking to relatives, there has been suggestion that my great grandfather was sometime shammas of a shul on Cheetham Hill Road, Manchester, which was known as the "hayloft". Hard to know exactly what time period, but I suspect this was some time between 1920 and 1950. He was born in Saldus, Latvia, so possibly this was a shul shared with landsleit ? Maybe it was just a literal hayloft where minyans were formed ? Any thoughts, suggestions, welcomed. Thanks Andy
