    3. Sherry, I would be happy to assist. John Simmons -----Original Message----- From: Jewish Admin Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2012 8:21 AM To: BRITISH-JEWRY@rootsweb.com Subject: [BRITISH-JEWRY] Desparately seeking webmaster Hi, I am getting to crisis point with the web pages we have. I just don't have the time to maintain the pages and keep them up to date. I am too busy with work and other things. I have updates backed up from early summer. I need someone who knows their way around web pages to take this on. I would say 2 hours once a month would be needed. I can't see it being more. Initially it might be a bit longer because of the back-log. The volunteer would need to be able to update pages, insert new information and then return me the files and I would upload them. So, you'd need a working knowledge of HTML (although I am self-taught and most stuff is a matter of copying and pasting-you just need to know/learn a few scripts such as how to hyperlink text; insert line spaces; and make new rows in tables). This would be for the main website pages. I would keep responsibility for the Leeds Database section which is too complicated to split workload on and can wait if time is at a premium. If you think you can help, please contact me, because as things stand the website is stagnating. Hope to hear from one or more of you. Sherry Landa (overworked in Oxford, UK) Our website is at www.british-jewry.org.uk We update regularly. Let us know if you have ideas to offer.
