Date: Sat, 25 Aug 2001 18:19:56 +0100 From: "Brian Warburton" <brian@warby92.fsnet.co.uk> To: BRIT-SURNAMES-L@rootsweb.com I Had it myself on August 12 in a folder if you or the list happen to get it Use A Bootable Floppy disk that has the Deltree.exe Command on it make sure it is write Protected(Both the little holes must be open) 1/.Shut down the machine and put the floppy in the A Drive and boot to it 2/.At The A:\> prompt type DELTREE C:\_restore That will delete the folder and all the files in it This is a permanent deletion since windows is not running and there is no recycle bin Also any resdtrictions place on the files by windows will not affect the deletion since windows is not running Says Deltree C:\_restore I found a W32.Magistr virus today in an attachment (not opened),and deleted it of course. Don't open the attachment from SARA GRIMES Mc BETH thats where it is anyone who is interested. sorry if its off topic, but last time i caught a virus off the lists i had to reformat my drive in the end , and i don't want anyone else to have to go throgh it.
