    3. I recently visited the IGI web page and found a William FULLER christened on 17 March 1769 at Kingston on Thames. His father was John FULLER and his mother was Mary. Now I put in a marriage search on John and came up with a John FULLER who married a Mary ROSE on 13 August 1758. This could be my ancestors for a number of reasons but I don't want to get tooooo excited until I do some more research. John and Mary were married in the same Parish as Kingston on Thames as with Williams birth. This is also the trial place of my known William. It cannot be denied that William may have been caught for whatever crime in his home town and trialled in his home town. It is not uncommon that his parents were married in the same Parish that their son was born either. There are a couple of other items I cannot overlook, which are:- 1. My William named his first 3 children William, John and Mary respectively. Rule of thumb in research is that the first child is named after the father with the second son named after the fathers father and the first daughter named after the fathers mother. I cannot forget also that Mary, William's wife also had a father named John so I can draw I guess as many conclusions as I like! 2. It has been documented that my William was born circa (meaning they didn't have a clue) 1774. This means when he was trialled he would have been a minor because he would have been approximately 16 years old. If the William born in 1769 is my William he would have been 21 when trailed on 29 March 1790 at Assizes for Cox, Kingston, Surrey, England. Additionally my William would then have been 48 when married and 66 when he died or deduct 5 years for each if it was the c1774? I was hoping that someone could shed a little light on this one for me! Kindest regards, Peter F Fahey
