I'm not actually a BRILL researcher but did once live nearby to the pretty village of BRILL in Buckinghamshire which was once the furthest outpost of the Metropolitan Line of London's Underground. It was a custom years ago that if the father and often the mother of a child (usually a foundling) were unknown it may be given as it's surname the name of the parish possibly BRILL! Hope this may help you. Christopher Still looking for: CHALLENER SPROSTON TREMBLE SCOPES STEVENS-BURT GOLDING (East London) MANNING (18th C. Cheshire)
