His home address at that time was--12 Warwick Square, St George, Hanover, London. : At home that evening was his 2nd wife Georgina, son William 24yrs student of law, Mary d -in -law 26yrs, and daughter Annette aged 8yrs. Five other servants , named, were there also. : I also am unable to locate the first wife named Martha Gladstone ,who is named on my husbands copy of his grand-fathers death certificate. : We do know that Martha had at least one child--Walter Magdale Cross (Magdale as a family name, which no-one seems to be able to locate as a christian name or surname) this man being my husbands grand-father. : Walter was born about 1855/56. The son William mentioned above, was also born 1855/56 and we wonder if they were twins? : When Walter married his 1st wife he had 3children ,the eldest was my husbands father b1886. From his 2nd marriage he had 5children out of wedlock. The 6th child born after his marriage was given the same family name Gladstone Magdale Cross : Hopefully someone may be able to help me in my search and I will give more details then. Thanking you in advance.Helen. : :
