Hi folks, I am trying to find a lady called MRS. AMELIA WADKIN b. 1824 Huddersfield, Yorks. I found her on the 1851 census for STRETFORD, Lancs. She was a 39 yr. old widow and lived at St. Andrews Terrace, Chester Road, Stretford, she was living with a John Davis (61 yrs.) who was a dependant relative. The reason I want to track her down is - she was a witness at my 2x grt. grandfather's wedding and she had his 5 yr. old son to stay with her in 1851. My 2 x grt. grandfather was Charles AXON. I have tried looking for a marriage through the Wadkin name, as I don't know her maiden name I am a bit stumped. So could someone be kind enough to help me out here. Any help much appreciated.
