My great grandfather was James PERKINS (b. Aug 7,1841{possibly Aug. 29}-d.May 9, 1913.  He homesteaded a ranch near the town of DeerLodge, Montana, USA.  I have the following information on him: Birthplace: Stilton, England Baptised: Dec 26, 1841 at Harrold, Bedsford, England Brother: Alfred Perkins Came to the USA in 1862  Father may have been John Perkins, born in Bedford Mother may have been Hannah Tairy (Fairy?), born in England He was married to Hannah VICKERS on Sept 13, 1876 in Corrine, Utah, USA Hannah (Anna)  was also from England and they met in Utah to be married. She may have been a friend or a 'mail-order' bride.  She was born March 27, 1850.   This is all I know of them except that the town of Leeds,England keeps surfacing in old journals and letters.  I have no idea of how James and Alfred got to America, how they traveled to Montana or of any other information regarding England and my ancestors.
