    2. Still searching for any connections to the following members of the Frederick and Elizabeth RENNEY family from Stranton, West Hartlepool, they lived at 5, Thompson Street between 1886 and 1905. Their survivors are probably still living in the area.:- Florence Gertrude RENNEY born 1879 and married Robert LAIDLER. John William RENNEY born 1886, and married Ida Victoria WINDROSS. Elizabeth Margaret RENNEY born 1888, and married ??? Eva RENNEY born 1890, and married ??? Albert Edward RENNEY born 1892, and married ??? Alfred Henry RENNEY born 1894, and married ??? Christopher RENNEY born 1895, and married ??? Burton RENNEY born 1897, and married Edna Eileen SHAW. The above were my Dad, Charles Frederick RENNEY'S brothers and sisters, and I would appreciate hearing anything about them or their present families. Kindest Regards, Pam Renney McKinley at Mesa, Arizona, but born and raised at Aldershot, Hants, England.

    1. Re: [BRITNAMES] Shackelford, Yancy, Nichols (to USA - KY, MO, VA)
    2. Marian Douglas
    3. Where are the SHACKELFORDS from? And how many ended up in the USA? Could there be more someplace else? Other spellings I've seen so far include ShacK-L-Eford, Shakelford, etc. - a good name to mess up bad. Seem to be loads of Shackelfords/Shacklefords, etc. in KY and MO. Which probably means they came from VIRGINIA - from which state of KY was made. Some of the KY ones moved further West to MO. Arguably the most famous SHACKELFORD in USA is actor TED S. who does come from KENTUCKY. In my bunch, related names may be YANCY and NICHOLS; also MILLER which was probably German. Any help much appreciated. Marian Douglas dasha@unet.com.mk

    1. [BRITNAMES] FELGATE or TRUSON;SUNDERLAND
    2. Greg and Laurie White
    3. I'm trying to find the family of ROBERT & ELIZA FELGATE and/or the family of CHARLES TRUSON or sons ROBERT or WILLIAM TRUSON. All of these people were living in SUNDERLAND, in the late 1890's or early 1900's. All are relatives of my grandmother, ELIZABETH BAILEY. ROBERT FELGATE & his wife adopted ELIZABETH, in 1890, when she was one year old. ROBERT & WILLIAM TRUSON are grandma's half-brothers. Her mother, ANNIE BAILEY, married CHARLES TRUSON, then had the 2 boys. My hope is that someone from these families will have a photo of my grandmother, before she was sent to CANADA by BARNARDO HOMES, in 1899. I am particularly interested in a John Rumens from Lamberhurst/Cranbrook born circa 1780, probably of the Baptist or Anabaptist faith. I am seeking his date of birth, date of marriage and wife's name. He had numerous children all with biblical names such as Moses, Gideon and Isaac for example.
