I'm searching for information regarding my great-grandfather and his family. There may currently be relatives living in the Hastings area. The names are as follows: George Bonham, of 21 Ormerod-Avenue, Hollington born (July 1?) 1859 died at the age of 87 (1947). He served in the Royal Sussex Regiment and was a Chelsea Pensioner. 1939, fell through a shop window at Silverhill and was partially blinded. Bonham was a member of the Hastings branch of the British Legion. He llived with a daughter and four grand children at Ormerod avenue He was believed to be Hastings' oldest soldier Married Jeannie Wilson from Edinborough, Scotland (approx. 1882-1884?) 5 children: William - December 7, 1892 born Old Lane, Hollingtron RSD Jack, Elsie, Beatrice, Florence I'm anxious to find any records I can, to help me fill in the many gaps in the family history: i.e, birth, marriage, death certificate, military records, census records, etc. If I knew where the family was buried, I could then pursue trying to get a photograph of the family gravestones My sincere thanks for any assistance. Hello - I am researching both sides of my family, from here on the West Coast of Canada. I have run into a brick wall with Drynan. In 1821, in Stoneykirk, West Lothian, John Armstrong married Margaret Drynan. And there it stops. Do these names and this relationship sound familiar to anyone? If you have any joy for me, you can either post it here, or mail me at gtstephens@home.com. Thanks, George

Hi Maureen, do you happen to know if any of your SABIN people were ever married to or related in any way to surname JOY? Or perhaps GREY? My GG Grandfather was a JOY, his Mothers maiden name was GREY. One of his sons used SABIN as a middle name for one of his children. GG Grandad was from England. Just recently found his mother and dad, brothers and sister. Also, his middle name was WARDNER, said by family lore to have been a 'family name', does this ring any bells with anyone? I'm looking for any connections to the following family: Benjamin TRUMAN born 1814-1816 (there's some slight haziness due to a disagreement in age between death certificate and the 1851 census age given-I think the 1851 census date of birth of 1816 is most likely to be correct). Benjamin was born in Ponders End , London, England. Wife of Benjamin was Sarah KIMPTON, born in Ware, Hertfordshire, UK Children: Jemima born 1842 in Waltham(stow?), Middx. Sarah born 1844, Edmonton Thomas born 1849, Edmonton Benjamin born 1851, Edmonton Esther born 1852, Edmonton Francis James born 1855, Limehouse Henry born 1860, Limehouse George born 1863, Limehouse Benjamin Snr died in 1865 What I want to know is who are Benjamin Truman's parents. I believe he has 2 brothers, William and Thomas. Any help any of the listers can give would be very much appreciated. Keith TRUMAN
