Her fathers name was William Kennedy . They were all from Montreal. John 's children are: James Henry Mcwatters b.Jan. 24 1855 Bapt Zion Chuch in Montreal Alice Gertrude McWatters b. Aug 7 1863 bapt. Zion Church in Montreal William John McWatters b.Sept 5 1853 Frederich Kennedy Mcwatters b. 1859 ( This is my GGGrand Father) Laura Dorinda McWatters. B. 1860 All the children are born in Montreal, Canada John McWatters Died in Phlda, Pa Usa We can not find his birth records in Montreal so we believe that he was born in Scotland with his parents. The most likely explanation is that the first Hannah died as a child and the second was named after her. This seems to have been quite common, I have several cases of it occurring in my own family tree.
