Hi Listers, Roy's last comment has reminded me that I have a possible famous ancestor in the Welsh king, Rhodri Mawr. One of my ancestors, William VAWER, was Mayor of Bristol in the mayoral year 1601-1602. His family came from Haverfordwest in Wales and there is still a charity in Haverfordwest, which bears his name. Information on the internet, takes the ancestors of this family back to the 9th century and Rhodri "Mawr" ap Merfyn "Frych", King of Gwynedd, Powys and Seisllwg!!! In English, he is known as Rhodri the Great. When I told my other half that he should now call me Tywysoges (Princess in Welsh), he added an additional name in English to Tywysoges and that's Five Horses. For anyone who can't work out the English bit it means 'Nag, Nag, Nag, Nag, Nag!' :-) Josephine
