The FreeReg record of the baptism of Mary Anne WELLS, on 16th. February 1817 at St. Michael's, Bath gives the parents' names as James and Jane and the abode as Walcot Street. Father's occupation is recorded as servant. So neither of the two marriages I found in Bath for grooms called James WELLS were the right ones as both brides were called Mary. Josephine --
