    3. Hi Listers, Today I'm looking at the marriage of bachelor, William STONE, and spinster, Alice RAWLINS, on 4th. June 1775 at Bitton, Gloucestershire. The marriage was by banns and both bride and groom were of the parish of Bitton. William STONE, the son of Nicholas and Alice, was baptized on 21st. September 1788 at Hanham. I'm wondering if Nicholas and Alice were the parents of William STONE who married Dinah FRY on 28th. July 1811 at Bitton, Gloucestershire. Does anyone have a link with this Nicholas STONE and Alice STONE (nee RAWLINS), please? Josephine

I hadn't gone as far as listing them, yet. I had looked for the baptisms of the mother and father, Nicholas STONE and Alice RAWLINS, but I drew a blank. I looked in the nonconformist resources, too. Perhaps the mother and father weren't baptized, themselves, or perhaps they came into the area from elsewhere. Josephine
