    2. Re Concorde, Never flew in it, but I did witness one of it's early flights when it flew down from Bristol as guest of honour at the Annual 'Navy Days' celebration in Plymouth Dockyard in 1974. I still remember the gasps, so impressive and such an icon. I was also lucky enough to see the original HMS Ark Royal when she returned to her home port to be decomissioned and scrapped, and the replica of the 'Golden Hynd' as she left for America......dates me a bit..;)! I was fortunate enough to fly on the Concorde in 1990 or 91, can't remember which. I had my picture taken with the crew, just to prove to myself that I was actually on that aircraft. As we flew from Toronto to Oshkosh, Wisconsin and landed as part of the EAA Air Show, we did not go supersonic. I have a photo taken of the aircraft of over 2,000 people watching our landing. Anyone else flown on the Concorde? Certainly dates you. <vbg> However, as there were Five Royal Navy ships of this name, I suspect you were referring to No 4, de-commissioned in 1979. No 3 sank in WW2, No 5 was decommissioned in 2011 No 2 was a merchantman, converted to an Aircraft Carrier in WW1 Jim
