At that time it was common for Friday evening transatlantic flights to be overbooked, and I was offered several opportunities to exchange my business class seat for an overnight hotel and a trip back on Concorde next morning. I had young children at home, so declined every time, except once when it became fairly clear that I probably wouldn't get a seat that night anyhow! Great experience. Ian
