Hi Colin, Here's a description of Cornwallis Grove from c.1850/1, which may be of interest: Clifton Grove (or Cornwallis Grove) is three magnificent houses, on the right hand side descending the Hill opposite Saville Place, and sheltered by large lime trees, and shrubs of various kinds.
