Hi Elaine, Thank you. Your message has reminded me that my Mum used to use exactly the same words, "This will pass". You are right about the enthusiasm and joy. If I see a new surname, especially an unusual one, I am filled with enthusiasm to get started and find out more about it. The joy comes when a new snippet of information is found. I expect many of us have experienced those moments of joy when someone or something has broken down a brick wall in research or where something completely unexpected has turned up to add to the research.
