I thought she was the grandmother because I could find the baptism of only one likely Emma in Stapleton, where Henry and Aquila HOBBS had already had children baptized. Further investigation has shown that the HOBBS family had later children baptized at Kingsood and that Aquila HOBBS (nee FISHER) was the mother of Emma. Emma HOBBS, daughter of Henry and Aquila HOBBS of Stapleton, Glos., was born on 21st. December 1805 and baptized on 22nd. June 1806 at Whitfield Chapel (Congregational), Kingswood. -- Josephine Jeremiah www.ianandjo.dsl.pipex.com
