I've just refreshed my memory today on the cost of a marriage at Bristol Register Office in 1911. Altogether the cost was 7s., which was made up of 5s. to the Registrar and 2s. to the Superintendent Registrar. There was an additional 2s. 6d. for the certificate of marriage if it was required.
