Hi Polly, I know it's pricey but being central then we relied on local transport, which we took from the Centre, it was fine. Took a bus up to the Zoo in Clifton, walked over and across the Clifton Suspension Bridge, walked to Temple Church, over to P&J Church, along the waterfront, up and down the Christmas steps etc. No taxis were involved only when we arrived and left Temple Meads Station. If you compare the price with other major cities, it's not too bad at all. (;-)) Edna - Ottawa
