George then married Honour FORTESCUE in Buckland Filleigh on 15 July 1652. I woukld very much appreciate assistance in locating details of the following: - the baptism of George. his marriage to Elizabeth PRIDEAUX (and her baptism). the burial of george. the burials of his wives Elizabeth and Honour. did George have any children with either of his wives? Adrian, I have a connection to Ralph de Paynell and found this amongst my notes: ... Another beautiful manor at Kilve E. Quantoxhead mentioned, 1086, in the Domesday Book. It overlooks beautiful Bridgwater Bay. The A/A book states that Kilve Court House -- "At the time of the Domesday Book this manor house belonged to Ralph Pagnell (granted to him by William the Conqueror) but in 1207 it passed to Sir Geoffrey Luttrell and has remained in the Luttrell family for 700 years - one of the longest tenures by a single family recorded in Britain. (Ralph's grand-daughter Frethesant married Geoffrey Luttrell in 1207). Rebuilt in the late 15th century and considerably altered and enlarged in 1614. The Court House is today a parapeted house in mainly Jacobean style, its older parts largely concealed." The estate still has the Luttrell family living within its walls. The Luttrells also owned Dunster Castle and then it passed to the Acland family, who gave it to the National Trust.... A distant cousin of mine, Richard Worth of Luckham (Luccombe) mentioned his friend, Thomas Luttrell, in his Will. In his Will, he mentions his friends, Thomas Luttrell, esq., Charles Staynings, esq., and Henry Byam, Clerk and Overseers: Richard Worth (c1567-1637Edna's brackets) of Luckham, Somerset, Gent. Will dated Aug. 17, 1637, proved Feb. 16, 1637/38, by Mary the relict. (II Lee) To the poor, 40/-. My wife Mary, Exix., to whom Residue. To my two daughters, 1000 marks each, at marriage. My grandchildren. To my son John Worth, the lease of tenement called Pitt, in Timberscombe, &c., he paying to my two daughters £50 each. My friends, Thomas Luttrell, esq., Charles Stayning, Esq., & Henry Byam, Clerk, Overseas. (He was overseas probably due to his preaching with Charles I - Edna's brackets). My son Alexander Worth.
