I have been looking at the Bristol_and_Somerset archives of November 2000 and November 2010 and found that, out of the many list members who were posting on the B & S list 10 years ago, only seven of us, who were posting in November 2000, have posted on the list in November 2010. I'm wondering whether the list members of a decade ago, who are no longer active on the list, are still researching or whether they found everything they wanted to know about their families and moved on to other pastimes. Although I am no longer so absorbed in my family and local history research as I once was, I know that there are still many snippets of information to discover. I love the thrill of the chase, but I don't care so much for the writing up of my discoveries. This winter I must make an attempt to fill in some of the blanks. Hi Josephine, I have not posted to the list for some time as I thought everyone would be sick of reading about my same 'Brick Walls". Nothing has helped since I was in touch last time - I am still looking for the 1810/11 birth/baptism/family of HANNAH WALKER also baptism of her husband JOHN RIPPON who says he was born in Honiton, Devon but there is no record of him down there. They were Baptists which makes me wonder if he was baptised in Bristol as an adult before they were married in St Pauls, Bristol April 13th, 1828. I have full information on them and their children after that date. Thanks also for the previous help of all the other experts.
