Will dated Aug. 17, 1637, proved Feb. 16, 1637/38, by Mary the relict. (II Lee) To the poor, 40/-. My wife Mary, Exix., to whom Residue. To my two daughters, 1000 marks each, at marriage. My grandchildren. To my son John Worth, the lease of tenement called Pitt, in Timberscombe, &c., he paying to my two daughters £50 each. My friends, Thomas Luttrell, esq., Charles Stayning, Esq., & Henry Byam, Clerk, Overseas. (He was overseas probably due to his preaching with Charles I - Edna's brackets). My son Alexander Worth. My grandchild, Mary Worth, a silver bowl of £10.
