Hi Pat, I looked on the Bristol & Avon Family History Society Members' Interests, http://www.bafhs.org.uk/membership/membershipinterests.htm but no one there is researching WESTERN in Bristol although this surname is being researched in other places. In Kelly's Bristol Directory of 1935, there is an entry for William James WESTERN at 90 High Street, Lower Easton, who may have been one of Ellen's brothers. If Ellen's brother, Albert, had the middle name of Charles, the entry, in the same directory, for Albt. Chas. WESTERN, insur. agt, 11 Grantham Road, Kingswood, could be a match.
