Reading this, I remembered that my aunt, by marriage, who lived in Bristol for most of her life, once lived in Abersychan. I have just had a look in FreeBMD to find her marriage to my uncle. My aunt's first name on the marriage registration wasn't the name I was expecting. I see now that she was known in the family by her middle name. So I've found out something new today, just by thinking about Abersychan, and I've also located her birth registration in Abergavenny. Josephine -- Josephine Jeremiah www.ianandjo.dsl.pipex.com

There are some BALMONDS in the Midlands, but I don't know if they're related in any way to my wife's. > So I've found out something new today, just by thinking about > Abersychan, and I've also located her birth registration in > Abergavenny.
