I've been enjoying using both of the familysearch sites, which have been mentioned recently. I wasn't able to look at sites, such as these, on my ancient computer, so the information I'm finding is new to me. When I think back to the time, when I only had three counties of the 1881 census on microfiche and later Gordon Beavington's 1851 transcriptions of the Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire censuses, I think how fortunate I am to have so many family history resources at my fingertips, now. My poor husband hardly gets a look in at his computer these days as there are so many fascinating things for me to discover on it:-) -- Josephine Jeremiah www.ianandjo.dsl.pipex.com
