    3. It is difficult to be exact so soon after finding the problem but I don't think ALL the new batch of records have been wrongly assigned to Abbots Leigh just a very high proportion. There may be a way to find out what the correct parish should be as each entry in Family Search has a "Film Number". Is there a site somewhere which enables you to match LDS film numbers to particular parish registers? If this works it would be a short term fix to the problem! Some areas have done a list of the of films against parishes on Genuki but I cannot find anything for the Bristol area. Chris Jefferies Cheltenham Glos

    3. Thanks for the info Polly. Unfortunately Family Search Library Catalogue does not recognise the film numbers displayed in Family Search search results! Looking at the Family Search Catalogue for Bristol records most of the parish register film numbers are 7 digit mostly starting "15" or "17" where as the films mentioned in the new Family Search results all start with "4" so are different films.
