Yes, the steps leading up to the doors of the Vandyck Cinema certainly made an impression. Just looking at the picture made me think of all the films I once enjoyed there. One in particular came to mind, which my parents took me to see when I was a child. This morning, I didn't know the name of it, but I knew that Max Bygraves starred in it and that it was about orphans. On, the wonders of the internet! All I had to do was put "Max Bygraves""film""orphan" into Google and the name and date of the film appeared. The film was called A Cry from the Streets (1958).
