    3. Schedule item no. 127 of RG 9/1683 page 62 includes entries for the Wagon and Horses Inn at Dunkerton. Unfortunately I have not been able to decipher all of the details of the occupants etc. I would very much appreciate help with the following, please: - The two words above Wagon and Horses Inn. The occupation of Elizabeth Perkins - possibly Formerly in (sic) keeper. The occupation of Susan Pothecary - possibly beer maker. Adrian Yorkshire

This proves to be correct, as transcribed at Findmypast, if you look at the Bath Registration District, 1861 Census Street Index C-F at..... http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=Place:Bath_Registration_D istrict,_1861_Census_Street_Index_C-F where it is listed as Curbs Castell and Cottages, Dunkerton. I think the mother-in-law's occupation is probably "former inn keeper" but Susan Pothecary was a dressmaker. Observe the long "f" used as an "s". FMP also has this transcribed correctly. -- Roy Stockdill Genealogical researcher, writer & lecturer Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
