Hi Janet, I looked for the baptisms of the daughters in Bristol, in case there were more details on the father's occupation, but I couldn't find their baptisms in the B & A FHS resources. I looked in Pigot's Bristol Directory of 1822, but didn't see match for William Browne, merchant. Pigot's Bristol Directory of 1830 was also checked.
