    3. :-))) Yes, you've got that! It seemed to be the habit of the rich in those days more than the poor...they could afford it! I have a few solicitors who were regularly producing children and not marrying the mothers until after all the children died. There was another Bristol solicitor who kept two families at the same time. He was killed in a train crash on the Bristol to WSM line and left his money to his mistress so his legitimate children really suffered while the illegitimate children became reasonably wealthy!
