My Great,Great,Grandparents who were Llewellyn Humphreys BOWEN,[1857-1908] born in Cardiff on the 30th;November 1857,was married to Ellen COLLINS,[1855-1931]born at Bedminster Bristol. They married at Cardiff Register Office on the 14th;of February 1875.[I have the Original Marr;Cert;of that date.] On this Certificate it Stated that both of them were over 21. In Fact Llewellyn had just turned 17. Ellen was only 19. Their first child,my Great,Grandmother Florence Elizabeth Mary BOWEN,[1876-1966] wasn't born for another 13 months,so it wasn't the case of a "Shotgun Marriage".
