    3. Thank you Jeremy. It certainly sounds possible. I would need several older children if William and Ann married in 1797 as Hannah wasn't born for another 25 years....just about possible if she was the youngest. I had just browsed the 1841 and 1851 censuses to see which GALLOPs were born in Chew Stoke and apart from William and Maria there were no others around in 1841 who would be old enough to be Hannah's parents. There are always more important closer relatives to look for when I get the occasional visit to the Record Office. GALLOP is certainly a Lakes name.
