Father's names weren't given until after the start of Civil Registration unless the father was a local worthy but even then not always. I've had a look on the Bristol & Avon Marriages CD and there's no additional information other than you have already other than the marriage was by banns and both were given as OTP. Widowers and widows are indicated which may suggest Isaac and Sarah's marriage was a first for both. There was another marriage which may or may not be of interest: that of Lamrock KEELLING [sic] to Elizabeth PANES at Ss Philip & Jacob on 20 Apr 1834. Both were OTP and the marriage was by banns. -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, Greinton and Clutton, SOM Asst OPC for Ashcott and Shapwick, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk

    3. Hello Charani, Many thanks for a very speedy response. I have experience of some parish records giving a father's name and Occupation, even for ag labs, and was hoping other parishes may also have recorded the information. It looks as though I am barking up the wrong tree if it was a first marriage as I have my Isaac born 1792 and married in Stockport, where his children were also born. As I have been unable to find a record of his death I thought he may have 'strayed'. I will also see whether or not the other marriage may fit in, but I now think it was just wishful thinking. Once again, many thanks Roy -----Original Message----- From: bristol_and_district-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:bristol_and_district-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Charani Sent: 02 April 2010 14:19 To: bristol_and_district@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [B&D] Isaac Keeling Keeling wrote: > Hello, I'm new to this list and am wondering whether SKS can help me.
