Hi I am not a frequent subscriber but I was intrigued by your "bunfight" location and in particular the photograph display My parents used to take me to visit the Salt House when I was little, some 60 years ago, to visit relations who at that time ran the hotel As I live in Lichfield, Staffs., it is unlikely that I will be able to visit but would like to view the photographs. Do you know if they have any identification as to the date or subjects of the photos or are they listed anywhere? I cannot recall which of the relatives it was, it was a long time ago!! Hi Jeff You ought to come to one of our bunfights one day. It's always worth making the trek...I go from Penzance all the day to Derbyshire for similar functions. I haven't been to the Salt House for over 50 years. I used to be a pupil at St Brandon's and we walked passed the Salt House every week to St Andrews Church on the hill. I know nothing about the photographs yet - age, people etc but I've no doubt someone in the group will try taking photographs of the photographs and let people know afterwards. I wont be me as I will be en route to Australia and wont be back until December though I will probably remain on the list in case there is something that needs attention while I'm in Australia. Someone on the list might have an old telephone directory or an old Trade Directory of Clevedon so it's always worth asking on the list...someone just might know your relatives who ran the Salt House in those days.
